Ben Stanberry, Commercial And Legal Director

Ben Stanberry has held healthcare related positions in academia, management consulting and politics and since 2006 has been a senior executive with Medical Imaging Group – a UK-based provider of outsourced clinical radiology and nuclear medicine services. His responsibilities have included transforming the company’s vision and strategic objectives into an effective system for the management of people and performance.

Originally trained as a lawyer, Ben has both LLB and LLM degrees and was Welsh Lawyer of the Year 2004. Following a move from academia to consulting in 2001, he led the provision of advisory services to numerous public and private sector organisations, including the Department of Health, Ministry of Defence, LogicaCMG, Capgemini and Sanofi Aventis. Internationally he has worked with the European Commission, European Parliament, European Space Agency and World Health Organisation on healthcare related projects.

Ben was elected to local government in London in May 2006, where his role included the overview and scrutiny of healthcare services.

Ben is a member of the Royal Society of Medicine and the Institute of Directors. He is a frequent speaker at both national and international healthcare events, has written numerous books, book chapters and journal articles on the subject and is completing his healthcare focused Executive MBA at the world ranked Henley Management College.
