The Middle East HR Summit Excellence Awards 2007

The Middle East HR Summit will once again honour outstanding achievements in the management and development of human capital with the HR Excellence Awards 2007 – a highlight in the HR calendar.

The awards provide a platform for HR professionals to come together to showcase the best HR talent in the Middle East and will recognise HR professionals for their outstanding contributions in creating a high performing workforce for the future.

We are seeking nominations from and wish to recognise those who have made a difference in organisations of all sizes and in all sectors across the Middle East.

The evening will be a landmark occasion that will reward and celebrate individual achievement in HR in the region.

• Share HR best practices and ideas that add value and enhance productivity
• Showcase successful HR programmes and initiatives, organisations and individuals

HR Professional Of The Year
This award is bestowed upon an individual who will have significantly influenced and shown qualities of creativity in the development of workplace strategies, policies and practices which have benefited their organisations.

Outstanding Contribution To HR
This award will recognise the outstanding contribution an individual has made to the HR profession. It will be given to someone the judges feel has gained respect by influencing, initiating or inspiring change, or ways of thinking during their HR career.

Judging Criteria
Entries will be judged by an independent panel selected by IIR Middle East. Deadline for the receipt of entries is 25 October 2007. Entries will only be accepted on the official entry form (see below).
The shortlist will be drawn up  at the end of  October and the winners will be announced at The Middle East HR Summit Excellence Awards 2007 Gala Dinner, to be held on Monday, 5 November 2007 at the Emirates Palace Hotel, Abu Dhabi. All delegates who register for The Middle East HR Summit are eligible to attend the Gala Dinner at no additional cost. Guests who wish to attend the Gala Dinner will be required to pay a fee of US $200/ AED 734.

Judging Criteria For HR Professional Of The Year

Applicants for the HR Professional Of The Year Award must submit no more than 200 words explaining the HR initiatives they have introduced to their organisation and the outcomes of these initiatives.  Award submissions must include a short profile outlining relevant work history and the name and contact details of two referees.

The entry will be judged on the following criteria:
Innovation – what was different, new and unique about your initiatives?
Influence – how did you significantly influence and improve the performance of your organisation?
Effective use of resources – what resources were available and how were they utilised?
HR’s contribution to the organisation – what were the outcomes of your HR initiatives? How did you enhance the image and effectiveness of the HR function in relation to business needs?

Judging Criteria For Outstanding Contribution To HR

Applicants for the Outstanding Contribution To HR award must submit a 200 word entry detailing how they have influenced, initiated or inspired change or ways of thinking during their HR career. Submissions should explain how this was achieved and provide evidence of specific contributions.
