Introduction
Many organisations treat a Quality Management System (QMS) as something different from the day to day activity of the organisation by establishing a separate quality function and then requiring this new entity to work alongside existing functions in the belief that this is the manner in which to integrate quality into the organisation.
However understanding how to introduce and manage this intervention and the implications for other activities throughout the organisation is essential for success. A clear and effective means of integrating a QMS is essential if it is going to become embedded in your daily organisational life and work. The key is to making quality a key component of everyone’s job so that the whole organisation is focused on delivering products and services to established and agreed standards.
This workshop will examine the challenges and enablers of integrating a QMS. It will be highly participative, utilising exercises to highlight key issues, practice key skills and refine thinking and personal action plans.
