About the event:
Many people see job titles like "Executive Assistant", "Personal Assistant" or "Office Manager" as fancy names for general run-around helpers. But you and I know the reality is different. You are working in a complex and challenging role and are not only the right hand of your boss, but very much a decision-maker and decision-influencer.
The complex range and variety of tasks undertaken by administrative professionals in the 21st century is far removed from the old days of shorthand, typing and answering phones. An increasingly vital and skilled role in today’s office, you need skills in management functions and technology, including: project management, software applications; organisation and scheduling; internet/intranet communications and research; document preparation, storage and retrieval; customer service; and public relations.
This is a tall order for any person. Not to mention that these tasks are often undertaken in a dynamic, high-stress, time-pressured business environment.
Is it time for you to catch your breath; to upgrade and update your skills?
IIR’s 2007 Executive Secretary, PA and Office Manager Forum is dedicated to giving you the chance to take time out. You will have loads of opportunities to learn new things, and refresh your memory on old ones, and to network with your colleagues from a range of organisations around the region.
An expert international and regional speaker faculty will lead you through six exciting, practical days jam-packed with information and skills development opportunities. Why not have a look at the full programme in this brochure?
This event is for you. Don’t miss it. Register now, recharge your batteries, and take a giant step towards becoming the best administrative professional you can be!
